(See <a href="https://joeycraftworkz.blogspot.com/2019/08/combination-of-yoyo-crafts-and-patchwork.html">previous post</a>.) I cut hundreds and maybe thousands of circles from my current stash and scraps, sorted out by different colours and kept in a big box. </p><p>Soon, the fever diminished and I went back to other forms of crafts - sewing, crocheting, embroidery, EPP, patchwork, etc.</p><p>This year, 2021, I went out lesser due to the current pandemic. I began to look through any WIPs that were easier to complete. I saw this box full of my colourful yoyos and began to cut more beige cloth to sew up more yo-yos.</p><p> </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-FuAsJoY3TuE0WL-MeHnw8MwCYak2B7GV7dwc63y3dXr8ic4LzyXjapMCtSI75yEuA0zHMp-AdNCvkD6DrHVDyEUERyphmr0hxzKzS6vbBubQujABaPgyPPmpoCyhHx2PaMx9xfsJZF0/s4000/IMG_20210727_103158.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-FuAsJoY3TuE0WL-MeHnw8MwCYak2B7GV7dwc63y3dXr8ic4LzyXjapMCtSI75yEuA0zHMp-AdNCvkD6DrHVDyEUERyphmr0hxzKzS6vbBubQujABaPgyPPmpoCyhHx2PaMx9xfsJZF0/w300-h400/IMG_20210727_103158.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>I picked 4 colours - purple, pink, orange and blue and arranged them in 4 different segments, using the beige colours as the borders.<p></p><p>I used the curtain hook pins and hang up this piece of handiwork in my bedroom.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W9O0en7rTJg/YQ_DwPZ4BTI/AAAAAAAAqbg/APdT0dtYIFIotkC13UiY72N6-sHOTkgggCPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20210727_104005.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W9O0en7rTJg/YQ_DwPZ4BTI/AAAAAAAAqbg/APdT0dtYIFIotkC13UiY72N6-sHOTkgggCPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20210727_104005.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>This indeed brightened up my entire room and looked cheerful every morning after I woke up from my bed. I am motivated to sew up a bigger piece for my living room or even other rooms. Hope that my motivation will be high till I finish my plan.</p><p>Try it. It is easy to do. I taught them how to sew up the hexagons together and sew onto the outer bag.<br /></p><p>Below are some of the completed bags.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DjJ7-5nPsMk/X-1Tow3-_1I/AAAAAAAAlOY/VH-pWVifHLUvz10O2b4SG_KjuXdsK2OCQCPcBGAsYHg/s1074/IMG_20201231_122215.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1073" data-original-width="1074" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DjJ7-5nPsMk/X-1Tow3-_1I/AAAAAAAAlOY/VH-pWVifHLUvz10O2b4SG_KjuXdsK2OCQCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h400/IMG_20201231_122215.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AjB_H_V9Au4/X-1To_HWocI/AAAAAAAAlOY/oNbbWiDEa7cQuolqofdI-gel1dCNW0wAwCPcBGAsYHg/s1496/IMG_20201231_122038.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1496" data-original-width="1496" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AjB_H_V9Au4/X-1To_HWocI/AAAAAAAAlOY/oNbbWiDEa7cQuolqofdI-gel1dCNW0wAwCPcBGAsYHg/w400-h400/IMG_20201231_122038.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sZ5ymTUNt_M/X-1Tow4y9UI/AAAAAAAAlOY/9ZEnucASkVAEshbuWJIEiAsc7t_zGfsxgCPcBGAsYHg/s1024/IMG_20201231_121951.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1024" data-original-width="768" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sZ5ymTUNt_M/X-1Tow4y9UI/AAAAAAAAlOY/9ZEnucASkVAEshbuWJIEiAsc7t_zGfsxgCPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201231_121951.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><p><b>Private class of minimum 2, maximum 4 can be arranged. This time, I decided to crochet a wedding couple, customised with a-look-alike RSAF uniform for the groom for the newlywed couple who had their wedding in October.</p><p>I packed the dolls in a white box, decorated with a red ribbon and a wedding label.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4z0P5jDtZMo/X6iyjtw3GrI/AAAAAAAAkvw/S_PuGT_U70gGEbLXq2fl6VddB8yyeIw_ACPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20201018_165344.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4z0P5jDtZMo/X6iyjtw3GrI/AAAAAAAAkvw/S_PuGT_U70gGEbLXq2fl6VddB8yyeIw_ACPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201018_165344.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w7ZWE3ey7nU/X6iy-HFwfoI/AAAAAAAAkwE/Yw7b0TO6-PQcnDsMuYLwmsrGWLpKatWAQCPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20201018_134451.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w7ZWE3ey7nU/X6iy-HFwfoI/AAAAAAAAkwE/Yw7b0TO6-PQcnDsMuYLwmsrGWLpKatWAQCPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201018_134451.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p>Detailed look individually.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qlZh-A55yKA/X6izKfoEZfI/AAAAAAAAkwI/ye--_olcq0YvlSAlV2qw6oeQtuogun55QCPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20201018_125742.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-qlZh-A55yKA/X6izKfoEZfI/AAAAAAAAkwI/ye--_olcq0YvlSAlV2qw6oeQtuogun55QCPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201018_125742.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lgXw63qUY8o/X6izKXjW8tI/AAAAAAAAkwI/LwH8EFjYm3gpC55IkBXsoLpbX9K1afP6wCPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20201018_125816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lgXw63qUY8o/X6izKXjW8tI/AAAAAAAAkwI/LwH8EFjYm3gpC55IkBXsoLpbX9K1afP6wCPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201018_125816.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ciD3QYzeDM8/X6izKZ1iZjI/AAAAAAAAkwI/8cbmqR1nkgEW8MOpTgA2AjzrcTfoQUTfACPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20201018_125830.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ciD3QYzeDM8/X6izKZ1iZjI/AAAAAAAAkwI/8cbmqR1nkgEW8MOpTgA2AjzrcTfoQUTfACPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201018_125830.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mjZaBQWbyUA/X6izpnnDioI/AAAAAAAAkwY/KMlveF6IfCg6_SHosD_kZBoDmIXPp6oegCPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20201018_125721.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mjZaBQWbyUA/X6izpnnDioI/AAAAAAAAkwY/KMlveF6IfCg6_SHosD_kZBoDmIXPp6oegCPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201018_125721.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>If you are interested to custom-made a wedding couple, please email to <a href="mailto:joeycraftworkz@yahoo.com">joeycraftworkz@yahoo.com</a>.<br /></p>joeycraftworkzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15051205674068146175noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804894666079320793.post-25611591068924686102020-11-09T10:51:00.002+08:002020-11-16T16:10:37.189+08:00Tumbler Holders<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5VFww4kGKjg/X7Iz9fOoNrI/AAAAAAAAk5Q/OofINCykbzwq9WSmaQPPZFwL2LwWzVcuQCPcBGAsYHg/s4000/IMG_20201105_132837.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="3000" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-5VFww4kGKjg/X7Iz9fOoNrI/AAAAAAAAk5Q/OofINCykbzwq9WSmaQPPZFwL2LwWzVcuQCPcBGAsYHg/w300-h400/IMG_20201105_132837.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p>Let's save the earth by reducing the consumption of plastic bags. <i><b>English paper piecing</b> (or <b>paper piecing</b>) is a
method of attaching and stabilizing pieces of fabric together, based on
foundation piecing. The practice's name comes from the fact that it was,
and still is, popular in Britain. The technique used to paper piece
involves wrapping paper shapes in fabric and then stitching the fabric
together. Once a shape, bloc, rosette, or finished piece has been made,
the papers are removed, leaving the fabric as the remaining item.(<a aria-describedby="a11y-external-message" href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_paper_piecing">Source from Wikipedia</a>)</i>joeycraftworkzhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15051205674068146175noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-804894666079320793.post-83474586613146343312020-10-11T11:22:00.003+08:002020-10-11T11:22:39.370+08:00Double Zipper Pouches for Sale<p>These double zippers pouches are sewn by me. The process was tedious and I have accumulated lots and lots of fabrics over 8 years. I have set up a fabric ban since June and hopefully I will abide to my ban till next year. Seriously, I asked myself if I could finish using all fabrics that I owned. I have some doubts for sure.<br />
<br />
These Kona solids are so beautiful to look at. I love rainbow colours for sure. I bought all possible colour that I could find a few years back and to me, I am definitely a fabric hoarder. I wanted to break that and cut them up to make something useful.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SNCS_rTWhCI/XV0yZfCqs6I/AAAAAAAAa80/xjTrZlNG0q4RIAc5y62eZ-XVYiABwRjtACKgBGAs/s1600/IMG_20190801_130610.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SNCS_rTWhCI/XV0yZfCqs6I/AAAAAAAAa80/xjTrZlNG0q4RIAc5y62eZ-XVYiABwRjtACKgBGAs/s400/IMG_20190801_130610.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
After careful thought and research, I decided to cut them up into circles and sew up yoyos! First of all, I sew up 9 identical colour yoyos and arrange as a block of its own. Then, after making lots of the blocks, I arranged them like what I will do for patchwork. <br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Green mat</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
This is the first green yoyo patchwork that I did so far. I love the results so far. I still have lots of green shades which are still in my box. Certainly something that I will try to work towards and clear all the kona solids. Long journey but achievable.<br />

I have made my mind earlier this year that I wanted to make things I never done. Pushing my limits and patience to the next level. Researching and reading up. It can be painful to start something in the beginning. But that is the fun, don't you agree?<br />

The real fun of experimenting, failing and overcoming is just another journey to take. I am glad that the outcome is good and I am sewing up another clasp purse and another.<br />

I am planning to sew up some new apparels for my children and I have to do spring cleaning in the house. I do not see myself doing a major de-cluttering, rather to organise my stuff by category so that it will be easier to find and not have too many duplication.<br />
<br />
Today, I want to share with you some of the hand embroidery bishop dresses that I made. Till this day, I love smocking on Liberty london fabrics as they are suitable to wear in our humid weather in Singapore. I use DMC cotton threads and I can never have enough of colours to select to smock the dresses. Maybe I should buy all codes so that I do not have this problem.<br />
<br />
Here are the dresses that I made in 2018 and I have some more to make for the March boutique fair to sell.<br />
