Buying DMC threads in Singapore

I like to share with you where I bought my DMC threads in Singapore. Personally, I like to buy DMC threads because I already have a lot during my school days. (Geez, I can't finish after so many decades.) It is preferably to keep one set of the same brand, rather than to mix brands. It will help in my embroidery projects. However, for Japanese design books, they use COSMOS or ANCHOR. I will try to collate another shopping guide on the other brands.

This is a neighbourhood shop which I chanced upon last month. I like to support small business shops and very glad to find this shop. The lady boss is very friendly and chatty.

2. Knotty Shop

This is another small business shop situated in the city. This shop sells a lot of DMC products, eg perle cotton and does framing. The lady boss is also very friendly and shares her knowledge on stitching.

This is another small business shop situated at Ang Mo Kio. This shop sells a lot of craft and sewing materials and I tend to spend a lot of time browsing through.

This is a family run business over 30 years and very popular with sewists and crafters in Singapore. If you are in Chinatown, this is one of the shop that you must visit to buy your sewing notions, threads, etc.

This is a go-to shop in Chinatown too. Lots of Clover brands items, yarns, handicrafts, fabrics, etc. There are also a few embroidery thread brands like Anchor and Cosmo too.

There are other online shops that sell DMC threads but I will not be sharing in this post.
