More Fabrics

I have been packing my fabrics these days so that I can get inspired more easily during my creative stage. Sometimes I don't even remember what I bought and have. Then I will be tempted to buy more since I thought I don't have something similar. (Maybe an excuse to shop online.Ha!)

This is the latest fat quarter bundle that I bought online. It is called Sugar Pop by Moda.

I suspect that I lacked of sleep last night. No wonder I couldn't squeeze any ideas for the bridemaids' gift. I shall sleep early then.

Recently, I came to like owls. Not the real animal, but fabric. Indirectly, I also influenced my colleague Sylvia on that. We went to Spotlight after work and saw owls. She made an order with me to sew a piece of bolster and pillowcase for herself.

I combine this Happy Owl from Sugar and Spice Textile with my very own Bounty of Basics Fat Quarter - Robert Kaufman's Mingle by Monaluna.

I realised that adding a ribbon in between the two designs made a big difference. Don't you agree with me? Refer to the above image and do give me your views. :)

Here are the bolster and pillowcase shots.

I have informed her that they are ready and she will receive it next monday. :)

Time to design and made my next order of bridemaids' gifts.

Sofa cushion

This is a new sofa cushion cover with zip that I did. This fabric series is from Moda - Sugar Pop. I used 2 Fat Quarter pieces and interchange a portion of each piece for front and back.

Very nice combination I would say. I am still thinking of making the orange version. Probably I will have more time to do more very soon. I hope I can start on patchwork, which can be challenging for me, but I will keep on trying!

My Blog is featured in "We All Sew"!

Great to know that I have received recognition for the effort that I have made in this blog. My blog is currently featured under the "Favourite Sewing Blog" section on the "We All Sew" website.

A brief introduction of who they are:
"WeAllSew, sponsored by BERNINA, is updated weekly community with the best online stuff for sewers and quilters."

It is right here -

I shall continue to work hard.

Thanks for your support!
